Learning Support Teacher

My name is Monique Hosanee. I was born and raised in the Netherlands.I started teaching in 1990 at St. Mary’s Junior High then moved to Notre Dame Academy in 2004 to become the Learning Services Facilitator.  In May 2010, I completed my Masters Program in Administration and Leadership.

My roles and responsibilities at Notre Dame include Level B testing to determine a student's learning profile, collaborate with teachers, admin., parents, students and other professionals to recommend appropriate educational programming, identify  student accommodations, learning supports and strategies, as well as coordinate "wrap around services" such as SLP (Speech & Language Services), OT (Occupational Therapy), PT (Physical Therapy) or other.  Coordinate ISP's (student individual support plans) as well as PAT student accommodations in addition to transitioning student learning profiles to new grade levels or new schools.

I also have been the MHCBE ESL district Lead for the past 7 years and I administer Level B diagnostic testing (WIAT III) at different schools within our district.

I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and participating in a variety of sports such as: running, triathlons, skiing (downhill/x-country), hiking, and cycling.

If you need any help to support your child's needs please do not hesitate to phone, email or drop by my office. I look forward to working with you.
